Description and objective: This COSHH 2002 assessor training will enable the participants to carry out basic health risk assessments within the workplace. The course updates assessment requirements from the 1999 regulations. This 1 day course includes lunch, coffee and refreshments and will run from 9:30 to 15:30.

Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) is a major cause of occupational ill health. Each year, approximately 3,000 new claims for Industrial Injury Disability Benefit are made in relation to vibration white finger and vibration related carpal tunnel syndrome.

In the western world, it is thought than 200,000 people suffer from occupational asthma, and a further 500,000 have asthma that may be made worse by their job. Occupational asthma is a common cause of work-related illness. This half day seminar discusses respiratory sensitisers in the workplace.
